Frequently asked queations about Johannesburg climate and weather.

What is the weather and climate like in Johannesburg?

Johannesburg boasts 6 million trees, making it one of the world's largest man-made urban forests. Johannesburg is also the largest city in the world not on a coastline or major river, making it unique in its own right.

The weather is generally excellent, with temperatures reaching 30 degrees Celsius plus in summer, with little or no wind. There are, however, the occasional afternoon thunderstorms and forked lightning. In winter temperatures can go extremely low, and you will often find frost on the lawn.
